Kevin de Bruyne was the star of the show as his Manchester City side thrashed Bournemouth in the Premier League on Saturday.

De Bruyne proved simply a class above the Cherries as he caused havoc with his powerful running on the ball and in particular his incisive passing.

Having netted his side’s first with a clever low free kick, the Belgian would play a prominent role in Raheem Sterling and Kelechi Iheanacho.

According to SportsClub’s Opta-powered Matchcentre stats, de Bruyne had 66 touches of the ball during the course of the match, while he also made 39 of his 45 attempted passes.

De Bruyne managed four shots in the match and proved he has a clinical eye for goal as he hit all four efforts on target, including his goal.

The 25-year-old midfielder also proved his worth in a defensive capacity as he won four of his six duels while he also made four interceptions.
