Contenders Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool face off in an enthralling Premier League tie this matchday as all the big guns take to the field.

Liverpool will be looking to kickstart their season following an inconsistent start. Having hit four in a victory over Arsenal in their first match, the side stuttered to a 2-0 defeat to Burnley on matchday two, despite dominating the tie.

Third-placed finishers in the Premier League last season, Spurs have struggled to play at their fluent best so far this term.  A cagey draw against Everton was followed by a last-ditch victory over Crystal Palace, while a potentially dynamic Liverpool is set to pose a far more threatening assignment.

Liverpool have history on their side as the Reds have triumphed over Spurs 78 times while Spurs have tallied only 47 wins. Both clashes between the sides last seasoz ended in draws. Spurs, for their part, will be hoping home ground advantage will give them the edge.

Elsewhere, joint top front-runners Chelsea will go head-to-head with Burnley at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, while the likes of Arsenal visit Watford, champions Leicester City take on Swansea City, and Mourinho’s Manchester United take on the in-form Hull City.

Meanwhile, Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City side will have to wait until Sunday before they welcome West Ham United to the Etihad.
