Southampton stunned Arsenal in their EFL Cup quarter-final by defeating them 2-0 at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday night.

Saints midfielder Jordy Clasie put the visitors ahead in the 13th minute after a quick counter-attack.

However, the Gunners were dealt a further blow when Claude Puel’s side extended their lead with a finish by Ryan Bertrand before half-time.

For the first time in 30 years the Saints have now reached the EFL Cup semi-finals.
