Islam Slimani stars as Leicester City secured a 1-0 victory over Porto in the Champions League at the King Power Stadium on Tuesday.

The Foxes forgot their domestic struggles to secure a second successive in theChampions League as Islam Slimani grabbed the only goal of the match.

Leicester now sit top of Group G with six points after Slimani headed powerfully home in the first half for his sixth goal in his last four matches against Porto, having joined Leicester from Sporting Lisbon in August.

The Algerian striker played an important part for the Foxes by taking two shots at goal with both shots on target and coming from inside the box.

According to SASoccermag’s Opta-powered match stats, Islam Slimani managed to complete 35 touches on the ball after spending 84 minutes on the field.

The Algerian international completed 17 out of 25 passes on the ball with 28% coming from the back and going forward while 24% came from the left and 20% coming from the right.

In defence, the striker won six out of 15 duels while making two clearances and winning two fouls for his side while conceding four at the King Power Stadium

Porto controlled the match and had the best possession (60.5%), while Leicester City could only manage 39.5% of the possession.

Meanwhile, Dragoes had more shots on goal than the Foxes, producing 12 chances at goal compared to six efforts respectively.
