Chile and Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez says that he is striving to become one of the best players in the world before he retires from football.

The 28-year-old has already had an impressive start to this campaign, having already scored 14 times and assisted a further 12 from 23 appearances in all competitions so far this season.

The Chilean international says he will continue to work and train hard as he strives to become one of the top players in the world before his retires from the world of football.

‘I have always been like this,’ Alexis told the Arsenal website.

‘My career won’t last forever and I am aiming to be one of the best players in the world. I want to do my best and be professional until my career ends.

‘I enjoy football a lot, I always wanted to be one of the best players in the world and I´ve been saying that since I was a little boy. I will slow down after I retire, but for the time being, I will carry on like this.

‘I just try to train well, sleep well and be professional at my job. There´s no much of a secret to it.’
