Former Bayern Munich and Barcelona manager Pep Guardiola has allegedly agreed a pay cut to join new Premier League club Manchester City.

The Catalan tactician reportedly earned a salary in the region of £15-million-per year in his time as Bayern’s boss, whom he led to multiple domestic titles, despite failing to lay hands upon the Champions League title.

The coach is now reportedly set to earn £12-million per season at the Etihad, a £3 million-per-year pay decrease, reports The Sun.

The Spaniard can still up his earnings by triggering performance-related bonuses, however, and will pocket an extra £1-million should he win the Champions League, with a further £1-million up for grabs should his side take the Premier League title.

The 45-year-old Guardiola has won six league titles in his seven seasons as coach, while he won the Champions League twice with Barcelona in 2009 and 2011.
