Arsenal defender Shkodran Mustafi has heaped praise on Mesut Ozil after the playmaker scored his first career hat-trick on Wednesday.

The Gunners enjoyed a successful evening in the Champions League as they ran out 6-0 winners over Ludogotets.

The German defender has heaped praised Ozil’s quality on the field and has labeled what makes his teammate such a special player.

‘I think we all know that he has qualities,’ Mustafi told the Arsenal website.

‘As soon as he has the ball in the last third, he can make things happen and I think all the boys that played up front [on Wednesday] have been terrific for us.

‘He has the qualities. He sees his teammates, he sees all the runs, he has quality on the ball. His passing, his left foot … I think he has all that you need on the pitch.’

Arsenal will now turn their attention back to the Premier League when they take on Middlesbrough on Saturday.

The match at the Emirates Stadium kicks off at 16:00.
