Superleague side Olympiakos have completed the signing of midfielder Marko Marin from Chelsea on a three-year deal.

The 27-year-old joined Chelsea in 2012 on a five-year deal from Werder Bremen but made just 16 first-team appearances during his time at Stamford Bridge – scoring one Premier League goal.

The midfielder was sent out on loan to Sevilla, Fiorentina, Anderlecht and Trabzonspor as he struggled to break into the Blues senior squad and has now been allowed to leave on a permanent deal.

Marin, who claimed it was his ‘dream move’ to come to Chelsea four years ago and said he had turned down interest from Tottenham Hotspur, has now put pen to paper on a three-year deal with Olympiakos, according to SkySports.

The attacker has 16 caps for Germany and represented his nation at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.

Over the course of his career, Marin has scored a total of 42 goals and assisted a further 77 from 307 appearances in all competitions playing for the likes of Borussia Monchengladbach, Werder Bremen, Chelsea, Sevilla, Fiorentina, Anderlecht, and Trabzonspor.
