Romelu Lukaku played a vital role in helping Everton secure a 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace at Goodison Park in the Premier League on Friday evening.

Christian Benteke cancelled out Romelu Lukaku’s first-half goal as both sides were forced to share the spoils at Goodison Park.

The Belgium striker played an important part for the Toffees by taking three shots at goal with two shots on target and two coming from inside the box while one from outside the Palace penalty area. He also created two chances in attack for his side.

According to SportsClub’s Opta-powered match centre, Romelu Lukaku managed to complete 44 touches on the ball after spending 90 minutes on the field.

The Belgium international completed 18 out of 25 passes on the ball with 32% coming from the back and going forward while 20% came from the left and 16% coming from the right.

In defence, the striker won six out of 21 duels while winning two fouls for his side and conceding two at Goodison Park.

Everton controlled the match and had the best possession (57.1%), while Crystal Palace could only manage 42.9% of the possession.

Meanwhile, the Toffees had more shots on goal than the Eagles, producing 13 chances at goal compared to 10 efforts respectively.
