Serbian midfielder Marko Grujic has successfully been grant a work permit to officially begin his Liverpool career.

 The 20-year-old joined the Reds from Red Star Belgrade in January but returned to the Serbian club on loan for the remainder of the 2015-16 season.

Grujic began pre-season training at Melwood on Saturday and following the successful conclusion of the work permit process, will now be eligible to play for Liverpool‎, reports the Liverpool website.

The Serbian international went on to win the SuperLiga title with Red Star while on loan. Grujic finished the season with 29 appearances, scoring six goals, while created seven assists.

The midfielder was voted into the SuperLiga Team of the Year for his contribution to Red Star’s unbeaten season winning 26 matches and drawing four, ending the season with 82 points, 28 points clear of second-placed Partizan.
