Liverpool are preparing a €15-million bid to lure Chilean midfielder Gary Medel away from Inter Milan.

The Reds manager Jurgen Klopp wants to strengthen his midfield options before the transfer window closes,  making the experienced player his number-one transfer target.

However, the Serie A club will not allow Medel to join the Reds if midfielder Marcelo Brozovic departs from the San Siro, according to Corriere della Sera.

Over the course of his career, Medel has netted a total of 18 goals and assisted a further 14 from 269 appearances in all competitions playing for the likes of CDUC, Boca Juniors, Sevilla, Cardiff City and Inter Milan.
