Leicester City have turned down Everton’s approach for their head of recruitment Steve Walsh.

The 51-year-old was known for recruiting the likes of Jamie Vardy, Riyad Mahrez, and N’Golo Kante, who all played a key role in helping the Foxes clinch the Premier League title last season.

Everton wants to talk to Walsh about the possibility of him becoming director of football at Goodison Park, but the Foxes are determined to keep him after he signed an improved new contract just two months ago, according to SkySports.

It is understood that Walsh is interested in taking up the role at Everton as it would mean a promotion for him and him living closer to his family.

There has so far been no comment from either Leicester or Everton on the matter.
