Following the arrival of Swedish star Zlatan Ibrahimovic at Manchester United, midfielder Ander Herrera is confident the side’s scoring troubles are over.

The Red Devils struggled to find the back of the net under the guidance of  Louis van Gaal last season as United were outscored by each of the other sides in the top half of the table bar Stoke City.

Herrera, however, is confident that the addition of the likes of manager Jose Mourinho and superstar signing Ibrahimovic can bury the club’s doubters.

‘We are going to follow Ibra because we have one of the best players in the world and we have a big leader in our dressing room with him,’ Herrera said, reports The Mirror.

‘And with the experience of Wayne Rooney, Michael Carrick and Ashley Young as well we are very optimistic about the future,’ added the Spaniard.

Herrera then offered a comparison of his new teammate with the likes of the club’s youthful starlet Marcus Rashford.

‘Ibra and Rashford are quite different in terms of qualities, but Marcus can learn a lot from him.

‘Ibra is more of a target man while Rashford can find the spaces because he is so quick and fast. So I think it is good for the manager to have those different options.’

‘Hopefully we can score a lot of goals next season because that’s what we want to do,’ concluded the midfielder.

On Sunday, Manchester United take on Premier League champions Leicester City for the FA Community Shield at Wembley.
