Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola believes his side dominated their clash against Arsenal following their 2-1 comeback victory at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday.

Arsenal forward Theo Walcott opened the scoring in the fifth minute before goals by Leroy Sane and Raheem Sterling sealed the victory for the Blues as they came back to secure all three points against the Gunners.

The 45-year-old manager has praised his side’s performance and he believes it will give them the much-needed confidence heading into their next Premier League encounter against Hull City on December 26.

‘It means a lot to beat one of the best teams in the Premier League. The performance was quite similar to against Chelsea, then we created more chances. We were unlucky in the first minutes – it was a good game, we dominated,’ Guardiola told the Manchester City website.

‘The victory gives a lot of confidence for the minds of the players, in what we are trying to do.

‘I’m so happy for the fans – they stayed until the end, they were with us, that means we have to play good and they will stay with us. It’s three points, eight days to recover for Hull and Liverpool.’

The match at the KC Stadium kicks off at 19:15.
