Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has hailed Leroy Sane’s ability on the ball after completing a £37-million move from Schalke.

The 20-year-old was recently signed for £37-million from Schalke and has penned a five-year deal keeping him at the Etihad Stadium until at 2021.

The former Barcelona manager has praised the German midfielder for his technical ability and he insists that Sane will have no problem fitting into the City set-up.

‘He is a special talent and an exciting player that I think our supporters will enjoy watching,’ Guardiola told the Manchester City website.

‘He has great technical ability, is comfortable on the ball and there is much to admire about the way he plays football. He is fast, enjoys creating chances for others, works hard for the team and scores goals, too. He also has a very positive attitude and will fit in well with our squad.

Guardiola believes that even though Sane is still in the developing stage, he believes the midfielder will be a great addition to the City squad.

‘At 20, he is still developing as a player but he is already a member of the German national side and I think he will be a fantastic asset to our Club. We are very happy he decided to join us,’ he added.

The former Bayer Leverkusen midfielder will now join the likes of Ilkay Gundogan, Nolito, Aleks Zinchenko and Aaron Mooy in arriving at the Etihad Stadium in the transfer window.
