Chelsea recorded a 2-0 victory over Hully City in the Premier League while Sunderland and West Bromwich Albion were forced to share the spoils at the Stadium of Light on Saturday.

Two second-half goals from Willian and Diego Costa helped Chelsea secure a 2-0 victory over Hull City at the KCOM Stadium.

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte made two changes to his starting line-up from the team that suffered a 3-0 defeat against Arsenal last week, as Branislav Ivanovic and Cesc Fabregas were dropped from the squad for Marcos Alonso and Victor Moses.

Both sides threatened early on in the match but could not create any clear-cut chances in the first half.

In the 17th minute, the Blues showed glimpses of their attacking force as William combined well with Diego Costa but the final touch let them down.

However, the Tigers looked the likeliest side to break the deadlock and showed real determination going forward.

The score remained goalless heading into the break as both side’s looked evenly matched in the opening half.

However, the deadlock was broken in the 61st minute when Willian collected Costa’s pass and cut inside at the top of the box and curled the ball into the top corner to make it 1-0.

The Blues soon doubled their lead in the 67th minute through a goal by striker Diego Costa to make it 2-0.

Nemanja Matic was allowed too much space in the middle as his shot was blocked but Costa pounced and curl the rebound into the back of the net.

Chelsea continued to press for more goals but had to settle for a 2-0 victory over Hull City, to record their fourth win in the Premier League this season.

Meanwhile, Sunderland and West Bromwich Albion were forced to played out to a 1-0 draw at the Stadium of Light in the Premier League.

West Brom attack Nacer Chadli opening the scoring for the visiting side in the 35th minute before Black Cats left back Patrick van Aanholt scored an equalising goal seven minutes from time as both sides shared the spoils on Saturday afternoon.
