Bournemouth secured a 4-3 comeback victory over Liverpool in a seven-goal thriller at the Vitality Stadium in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.

The Reds got off to a better start, breaking the deadlock in the 20th minute when Sadio Mane latched on to a pass from Emre Can before putting the ball past Artur Boruc from close range.

The visitors then doubled three minutes later, when Divock Origi curled his effort into the back of an empty net from a tight angle following a pass from Jordan Henderson.

The Cherries could have reduced the deficit to a goal in the 36th minute when Junior Stanilas picked out Joshua King, who’s deflected effort was fired inches wide of the target.

The score remained 2-0 in favour of Liverpool as the first 45 minutes of the match came to end.

Ten minutes into the second half and Bournemouth were gifted with a penalty after Fraser was brought down in the area by James Milner. Callum Wilson stepped up to take the penalty and slotted the spot kick to make it 2-1.

However,  Jurgen Klopp’s side restored their two-goal advantage in the 64th minute when Can curled his effort into the back of the net from 20 yards out.

Bournemouth responded well and grabbed their second goal in the 76th minute through a goal by substitute Ryan Fraser to make it 3-2.

Fraser then turned provider to pick out Steve Cook, who fired his effort into the back of the net from close range to complete their comeback.

However, the Cherries then all but sealed the victory in stoppage time when Nathan Ake tapped the ball into the back of the net from close range as his side walked away with all three points after a hard-fought comeback.
