Liverpool goalkeeper Adam Bogdan has signed for Wigan Athletic on a season-long loan.
The 28-year-old has undergone a medical on Wednesday and has joined up with the Latics squad ahead of their pre-season friendly against Macclesfield Town, reports the Wigan Athletic website.

Wigan manager Gary Caldwell says he is delighted to have signed the shot-stopper on a season-loan long loan.

‘When we found out Adam was available, it was a move I really wanted to push through,’ Caldwell said.

‘He has great experience and will add immense competition for both Jussi Jaaskelainen and Lee Nicholls, which is what you need to drive the club forwards.

‘He obviously knows Jussi from his time at Bolton, he knows the area, the training ground is familiar to him and I’m sure he will be a great addition to the squad,’ he added.

Bogdan joined Liverpool last summer and made two Premier League appearances for The Reds while making four appearances in the Capital One Cup and FA Cup.
