Spanish champions Barcelona have agreed terms with Valencia forward Paco Alcacer despite Valencia’s reluctance to sanction a deal.

Barcelona have been on the lookout to add a fourth forward to their ranks having had to make do with the likes of youngsters Sandro Ramirez and Munir el Haddadi in the absence of one of their key forwards Luis Suarez, Lionel Messi or Neymar last term.

But having failed to secure deals for a host of their targets, the Catalans have no reportedly agreed terms with the 22-year-old, reports Mundo Deportivo.

With Valencia having already sold star midfielder Andre Gomes to Barcelona this window the side are reluctant to part with another of their prized assets. Indeed, Valencia are reportedly also fearful of a backlash from their fans should another exciting youngster be let to leave.

Should the deal take place it will likely cost around €35-million with an additional €10-million in add-ons. With the Spanish transfer window set to close at midnight next Wednesday, an agreement between the sides will have to be reached against the clock.

Alcacer netted 13 times from 34 starts for Valencia last season.
