Arsenal secured a 3-1 victory over Bournemouth in the Premier League at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

The Gunners got off to a great start and broke the deadlock in the 12th minute when Alexis Sanchez fired home from close range.

Minutes later, Bournemouth responded well when Callum Wilson made it 1-1 from the penalty spot in the 23rd minute of the match.

Brad Smith came close to giving his side the lead in the 27th minute, but his effort was saved by Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech.

The half-time score was locked at 1-1.

Seven minutes into the second half Theo Walcott put the Gunners ahead when he headed home Nacho Monreal’s header to make it 2-1.

Bournemouth substitute Benik Afobe had a great opportunity to equalise in the 75th minute, but Cech produced a fine save to deny the striker.

Arsenal sealed the win in stoppage time when Olivier Giroud set up Sanchez, who slotted the ball into an empty net to make it 3-1 and hand the Gunners all three points.
