Tottenham Hotspur have announced that midfielder Dele Alli has signed a new contract with the club which keeps him at the club until 2022.

The 20-year-old joined Spurs from MK Dons for £5-million in 2015 and has agreed to a new six-year deal with the club, according to the Tottenham Hotspur website.

The England midfielder now follows a number of players to commit their future to Spurs in recent weeks, with Christian Eriksen, Eric Dier, Harry Winks and Tom Carroll already signed.

Alli went on to enjoy an excellent breakthrough season with the club as he made 46 appearances, scoring 10 goals and providing 11 assists in all competitions as Mauricio Pochettino’s side finished third in the Premier League.

His achievements did not go unnoticed after picking up the PFA Young Player of the Year award and was named in the PFA Premier League Team of the Year.

He also walked away with the Match of the Day Goal of the Season prize for his spectacular volley against Crystal Palace in January.

On an international level, Alli has racked up a total of 12 caps for the England national teams and scored one goal for his country since making his full England debut in October 2015.
