Having blown many leads on the final day of play in the past, the experience of the American came to the fore as he carded a one-under-par 70 for the final round.

The performance guided Cink to a four-stroke victory in the end with a winning score of 19 under par. It was Cink’s third victory at the Heritage and his second triumph of the current PGA Tour season.

Harold Varner III and Emiliano Grillo finished the week in T2 on 15 under, while Maverick McNealy, Matt Wallace and Corey Conners concluded on 13 under par.

Christiaan Bezuidenhout signed off as the highest-placed South African in the field, despite going two over for his final round on Sunday.

After a stunning third round, Bezuidenhout had to settle on seven under par for the week and in T33. Branden Grace finished two strokes behind on five under par, thanks to a final-round 69, while Dylan Frittelli slumped to three over for his final round to end on one under par.
