Australian Cameron Smith worked his way to the top of the RBC Heritage leaderboard thanks a brilliant opening-round 62 at Harbour Town Links on Thursday.

The PGA Tour returned with a mouthwatering event, featuring some of the biggest names in the world of golf. But, it was the talented 27-year-old, who made the early moves in what proved to be an easy scoring day for a lot of players in the field.

Smith started with the bang, turning after a total of five birdies on the front nine before converting four more as he came home, ending the day with a brilliant nine under par.
