Lee-Anne Pace shot 69 in round two of the Hana Bank Championship, salvaging her tournament to make the weekend in a share of 39th place.

The top-ranked South African battled around in 76 on Thursday, but made amends by going there under par a day later.

America’s Brittany Lang topped the list on 10 under par after 36 holes, one stroke clear of countrywoman Alison Lee and three ahead of a tie for third place between Cristie Kerr and Sung Hyun Park.

‘It was a very enjoyable day,’ said Lang. ‘The greens are really firm but roll really nice. It was such a perfect day of weather.

‘Started out with a birdie on one and just really played super solid. I was really swinging at it well. Hit a lot of fairways and greens, made some long putts early,’ she added.

Pace also enjoyed her time on the Korean course and made no bogeys, while adding birdies at the fourth, fifth, and 11th.

She tied for fifth place at the Taiwan Championship last week and has been enjoying a purple patch that carried through to her second round in Korea. The weekend awaits.
