Tyrrell Hatton reached an astounding 23 under par at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship to win by four strokes over Richard Sterne and Ross Fisher.

Hatton shot a record-low 62 on Saturday at The Old Course at St. Andrews, then banked the victory with a Sunday round of 66.

Sterne played superb golf throughout the $5-million tournament, breaking 70 in each round at Carnoustie, Kingsbarns, and twice at the weekend on The Old Course.

He was 19 under par and four strokes adrift of the runaway victor, but second place meant a healthy move in the Race to Dubai.

Jbe’ Kruger got the game to click on Sunday and rose 17 places up the leaderboard, joining a tie for 15th place after shooting 66 on Sunday.

George Coetzee and Jaco Ahlers shared 25th with four other players, while Tjaart van der Walt was part of the seven-way tie for 31st.
