Frenchman Victor Dubuisson shot a moving-day 64 at the DP World Tour Championship for a one-stroke lead going into the final round.

‘It’s a great score. It’s my best score to date in Dubai. I’ve played well, made good putts at the right time. It’s just a course I like – it’s long. You have to carry the ball long,’ he said.

The two-time European Tour winner birdied four of the last five holes at the Earth Course of Jumeirah Golf Estates to edge ahead of second-placed Nicolas Colsaerts, Matthew Fitzpatrick and Tyrrell Hatton.

‘It can be very frustrating to lose concentration,’ said Colsaerts. ‘But when you get into this position in those big tournaments, it’s kind of maybe a little easier to keep digging in and not really let it away from you.’

A power trio of Francesco Molinari, Lee Westwood and Rafa Cabrera Bello were tied for fifth on 11 under par.

Charl Schwartzel kept tabs on the front-runners with a round of 70 for a nine-under-par total, four shots off the pace going into Sunday.

The 2011 Masters winner has made one bogey on the back nine all week, so he’s likely to be confident on the back stretch in the final round.
