Team USA produced some magic on Saturday afternoon at the Ryder Cup, led by the fiery Patrick Reed, to win the Saturday four-balls three to one, for a three-point lead going into Sunday.

The Europeans moved within a point of the Americans when Rory McIlroy and Thomas Pieters won their match against Brooks Koepka and Dustin Johnson 3&1.

It was one-way traffic for Team USA from there, with JB Holmes and Ryan Moore winning 1up against Danny Willett and Lee Westwood for the first American point of the afternoon.

The hosts played with aplomb to the roars of ‘USA’ as Phil Mickelson and Matt Kuchar won 2&1 against Martin Kaymer and Sergio Garcia.

The power combo of Jordan Spieth and Patrick Reed earned a second point against Justin Rose and Henrik Stenson in the final match, which put Team USA three to one up in the afternoon session.
