Amaglug-glug coach Owen da Gama has named his starting line-up that will take on Japan in the Kirin Challenge Cup at General Sports Stadium on Wednesday.

Ajax Cape Town goalkeeper Jody February will start between the sticks ahead of Reyaad Pieterse.

The back four will see Abbubaker Mobara at right-back while Tebogo Moerane continues to impress at left back. Current team captain Rivaldo Coetzee will play alongside Tshepo Rikhotso, who has been brought back at central defence, reports Safa.net.

Highlands Park midfielder Mothobi Mvala will make his debut alongside the talented Deolin Mekoa.

Thapelo Morena returns to the starting line-up, while Aubrey Modiba retains his place in the squad.

While Cosafa Cup top goal scorers Menzi Masuku and Gift Motupa will lead the team up-front.

Da Gama believes his side are in for an enticing match against the Asian champions.

‘The Japanese are the Asian U23 Champions so we look forward to a thrilling match. Like we said before we need these type of matches to build on our strengths and weaknesses ahead of the 2016 Rio Olympic Games,’ said Da Gama.
