Bafana Bafana have climbed up one spot by moving into 72nd place in the latest Fifa World Rankings released on Thursday.

The South African national team remain in 15th place in Africa following their mixed performances in the African Cup of Nations qualifiers after suffering disappointing results against Libya and Seychelles.

Meanwhile, Belgium remain top of the rankings, while World Cup winners France and Brazil retain their respective places in second and third.

World Cup runners-up Croatia keep their place in fourth ahead of Gareth Southgate’s youthful England side, while Portugal move above Uruguay into sixth place.

Switzerland, Spain and Denmark make up the rest of the top 10 in the rankings.

The next Fifa World Rankings will be published on 20 December 2018.
