Cristiano Ronaldo says his row with Manchester United will not have any effect on the Portuguese national team at the World Cup in Qatar.

This season, the star player has been pushed to the sidelines and has been a bit part player at United and last week, he criticized his club and coach Erik ten Hag in a TV interview.

“I have no doubt that this recent episode, that interview, and other episodes with other players that happen sometimes, can sometimes shake the player but won’t shake the team,” Ronaldo said at a press conference at the Portugal camp.

Ronaldo was not allowed to play in the 1-1 draw at Chelsea because he didn’t want to come on as a sub against Tottenham last month.

During an interview with British journalist Piers Morgan, the 37-year-old man said that Ten Hag made him act that way.

Even though he is having trouble with his club team, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner is still the best player for Portugal, and he wants to keep playing until he is 40.
