Banyana Banyana coach Desiree Ellis has given her support toward midfielder Robyn Moodaly after she stepped down from international football due to mental health issues.

The news came unexpectedly and left many in shock after the 2022 WAFCON winner announced the news on her social media.

The 29-year-old cited mental health issues as one of the main contributing factors in her decision to step down from international football.

Ellis said she’s happy that Moodaly is taking care of her health and he has given Moodaly her full support.

“I am glad to see that she’s taking charge of her mental health, and that she’s come out and spoken about it because it is real, and we will support her as much as we can,” the Banyana Banyana coach said.
