Banyana Banyana trio Thembi Kgatlana, Janine Van Wyk and Lebohang Ramalepe have all been included in the Team of the Tournament after impressive displays throughout the African Women’s Cup of Nations.

The South African captain, Van Wyk, was a rock at the back for Desiree Ellis’ team. Her leadership was one of the driving forces in the team’s run to the final, and she was rightly selected to take her place in the tournament’s best 11.

Right-back Ramalepe impressed throughout the campaign, and played a starring role to help her team qualify for the Fifa Women’s World Cup for the first time in history.
