South Africa will begin the Africa Cup of Nations 2019 qualifiers with an away match against the Super Eagles of Nigeria in June.

Bafana Bafana were drawn against Nigeria, Libya and Seychelles in Group E in a tournament that will take place in Cameroon in 2019.

‘There was never going to be an easy draw but I am very happy with this one. It should be a direct shoot out between Bafana Bafana and Nigeria but I am confident that we should progress in this group,’ said Safa president Danny Jordaan, who attended the draw in the Gabonese capital of Libreville on Thursday evening.

Bafana Bafana open the campaign with a tricky away match against the Super Eagles in Nigeria. The match is scheduled for 3-13 June 2017 with the host country at liberty to decide the exact date.

The next AFCON 2019 qualifier will be in March next year when South Africa welcome Libya and Seychelles entertain Nigeria in another Group E match.
