Itumeleng Khune has been rested as Shakes Mashaba has rung the changes to the Bafana Bafana side to play Ghana on Tuesday.

Khune put in a Man of the Match performance against Burkina Faso on Saturday but has dropped to the bench for the friendly international against the Black Stars at the Moses Mabhida Stadium.

Brighton Mhlongo will start in goals ahead of Jackson Mabokgwane and Khune with Abbubaker Mobara and Isaac Nhlapo coming into the back four in place of Ramahlwe Mphahlele and Erick Mathoho.

‘There were always going to be changes in personnel but we thought because of the travelling, we needed some fresh legs hence we went for this team. It is a strong side that should compete,’ said Mashaba.

Ayanda Patosi, May Mahlangu and Oupa Manyisa have all been handed starts alongside Dean Furman in midfield with Mamelodi Sundowns duo Keagan Dolly and Hlompho Kekana sent back to their club in preparation for the Caf Champions League final.

Eleazer Rodgers will be partnered by Sibusiso Vilakazi will start up front as Mashaba aims to generate some momentum

The match kicks off at 19:00. Tickets are still on sale for the game at Computicket, Shoprite and Shoprite Checkers Stores around the country and selling for R80 all round.
