Bafana Bafana have risen two places to 68th in the world according to the latest Fifa rankings, which were released on Thursday.

Bafana remain 15th in the continental steaks, while Algeria remain the highest-ranked African side on the planet at 32 in the world, as confirmed by Fifa’s website.

Côte d’Ivoire are still Africa’s 2nd best side, despite slipping down two spots to 36 in the world rankings. Ghana, meanwhile, climbed on spot on the log. They now sit just a spot behind Côte d’Ivoire in both the world rankings (37th), and in Africa (3rd).

The waves of change were largely brought about by a series of international friendlies and qualifying matches across the globe, with 45 games having taken place since the previous instalment of the rankings.

Argentina and Belgium still sit atop the wold in 1st and 2nd respectively, while Colombia and Germany each advanced a spot to knock Chile down to 5th. The only change to the top 10 sees Austria displace England, at number 10.
