Bafana Bafana head coach Hugo Broos has expressed his confidence in Khulumani Ndamane, stating that he can always rely on the TS Galaxy defender when it matters.
Ndamane put in another great shift for Bafana and played the entire 90 minutes in their 1-0 win over Ghana at the Dobsonville Stadium in Soweto.
The 21-year-old has also been included in South Africa’s squad for the Africa Cup of Nations tournament later this month.
Broos went on to praise Ndamane’s exploits for Bafana and reiterated that the TS Galaxy defender is always dependable.
“First of all, it’s already a fantastic thing for him that he can go with Bafana-Bafana to AFCON. Secondly, every game that Khululmani played, I was satisfied. Also today, also the previous games that he played. So I’m very happy with him,” Broos said.
“I know that if there’s something happening behind and he doesn’t play, that I can always count on him. And he proved again today that he deserves to be with us. So that is for me, that makes me happy, those things.
“You know that two years ago, we won games because there were guys on the bench who came in and who decided the game.
“So I’m very happy with him. If he’s playing or if he’s on the bench, I know always that I can count on him.”
