After defender Lorenzo Gordinho opted to sign with Danish First Division club Viborg FF instead of moving location with Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila, the club have praised the move saying their philosophy is to ensure they enhance their players’ careers by supporting them in their endeavours to challenge themselves overseas.
It was confirmed on Monday that the former Kaizer Chiefs man had decided to leave South African shores following the sale and dissolvement of Bidvest Wits.
The new owners of that status, despite wanting to keep the 26-year-old, have since revealed that they could not stand in Gorinho’s way after he expressed his desire to play in Europe.

“While Lorenzo would have been an important part of our plans at TTM, we could not prevent him from realising his dream of playing abroad and wish him all the success at his new club. TTM’s philosophy is to ensure that we enhance the careers of our footballers by supporting them in their endeavours to challenge themselves overseas,” said TTM chairman Lawrence Mulaudzi in a statement.
Gordinho’s agent, Prosport International CEO Mike Makaab, praised the club and the chairman for the manner in which the deal was conducted.
