Reports broke on Thursday suggesting that Kaizer Chiefs striker Samir Nurkovic had signed for Royal AM, but the player’s agent has strongly denied any deal.
The Serbian striker is heading into the final moth of his contract with Chiefs and although the club still have a one-year extension option on his contract, they are yet to activate it leaving the possibility of him departing open.
Thus, when news broke that the striker was set to move to Durban to the ambitious Royal AM it was thought to be a deal that could suit all party’s.
However, Nurkovic’s long-time agent Dajan Simac instead suggested they are looking to stay at Naturena.
“This is not true,” Simac told SABC news journalist Mazola Molefe.
“Of course, there has been a lot of interest in Samir, but he is still a Chiefs player and we are talking to the club about the future. I don’t know anything about the rumours that he will be joining Royal AM.”
