Milutin Sredojevic has promised Orlando Pirates fans their money’s worth next season as the club finalises it’s pre-season preparations for the 2018-19 season.
The Soweto giants have conducted most of their most of their pre-season preparations behind close doors for the new season, however coach Micho is confident that his side will produce the goods in the new season, having come agonisingly close to winning the league title in the 2017-18 campaign.
‘I would tell you something. You know, we count ourselves like we are in the kitchen, we are cooking, and consumers – our supporters – need to wait to be brought to the table,’ he told the media.
‘It will be brought to the table on August 4, so until then let them [wait]. You know, food is more delicious when you want it so much and it’s brought.
‘If you start trying before, maybe it could not be as delicious. So, we shall do our best to prepare very delicious food from the point of performance and results ahead of you.’
The Serbian mentor acknowledged the fans’ expectations, but kept his cards close to his chest with regards to making predictions for the new season.
‘We are not here to promise much. We are looking to focus on those details [performance and results], because if we speak about promises, nobody has ever succeeded to fulfil them.
‘We would rather let the football be the one to talk, and we are looking forward that football will talk,’ he concluded.
The Soweto giants clash with Highlands Park on the 4th of August at the Orlando Stadium.
