Arsenal defender Per Mertesacker could be out for up to five months after suffering a knee injury during the Gunners 1-1 draw with Lens.
The German defender suffered the problem during the Gunners pre-season friendly against Lens and was left out of Arsenal’s pre-season tour of the United States.
