South African midfielder May Mahlangu has officially been unveiled by Bulgarian giants Ludogorets 1945 Razgrad ahead of their league encounter against Vereya on Friday.
The 29-year-old will wear the No 11 jersey at Ludogorets and has since been registered for their Europa League squad.
Mahlangu had been with Bucharest since 2016, and following his eye-catching performances in the Romanian league, Razgrad came knocking for his signature.
The South African midfielder made 72 appearances for Bucharest during his two-year spell and found the back of the net three times in the process.
Romanian giants Dinamo Bucharest recently announced that Mahlangu has ended his two-year stint at the club after signing a long-term deal with the Bulgarian giants, which runs until 2021.
Ludogorets released the following statement on their official website, which reads: ‘Ludogorets introduced May Mahlangu and Junior Brandao to all the fans. This happened prior to the rematch against Torpedo [Kutaisi], which was part of the Europa League playoffs. Ludogorets won the game with a 4-0 score and qualified for the group phase.
‘Mahlangu is resident player of the SAR national team, came from the Romanian elite team Dinamo [Bucharest], and 23-year-old Brandao was part of the Brazilian Atletico Goianiense.’
The former Hassleholm midfielder has not yet made his official debut for Ludogorets, but could feature for the club on Friday when they take on Vereya in their next league encounter.
Over the course of his career, Mahlangu has scored 22 goals and assisted a further 13 from 260 appearances in all competitions playing for the likes of Helsingborgs, Hassleholm, Goteborg, Konyaspor, Sint-Truidense and Dinamo Bukarest.
