Mamelodi Sundowns captain Hlompho Kekana believes his side’s title-winning experience will give them the edge as they look to ‘take care’ of Kaizer Chiefs on Thursday evening at the Orlando Stadium.
Downs may have struggled since the resumption of football in the country, but the timely 1-0 win over Golden Arrows on Monday evening boosted their confidence boost ahead of the Chiefs clash, according to Kekana.

‘We are in a good space at the moment because we managed to get three points that we were looking for as a team,’ Kekana told the Sundowns media department.
‘At the moment the boys know that it is doable, we can go on and win the match again. I believe we have a chance to continue to serve the team and make sure that we win the matches.
‘We now understand the nature of this game and I believe we are a team that’s very ambitious because we have been in this space for so many seasons now,’ Kekana said.
‘We understand that we have to take each game at a time, and one of the matches that we have to take care of is the upcoming one against Chiefs. And we know that we have to do our business and make sure that we win the match; we have to make sure that we take care of all the elements involved in the game.
‘I think we are in the right frame of mind to do so because we just won the match and it was a morale booster for the team. I believe we stand a chance of doing the business for ourselves.’
