Former Golden Arrows and Orlando Pirates player Bheka Phakathi has passed away following a fatal car accident on Sunday morning.
The former centre-back was at the helm of ABC Motsepe League side Umvoti at the time of his death, which he guided to the playoffs for a spot in the National First Division.
Phakathi established himself in the PSL as an experienced defender at Golden Arrows and subsequently made a move to Pirates.
The 43-year-old enjoyed another stint with Arrows in addition to plying his trade for Maritzburg United before calling it quits in 2010.
