Manchester United midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger says he will not play for another European club and is ready to play for new manager Jose Mourinho.
The former Germany captain has been frozen out of the senior team since the arrival of Mourinho and has been training with the reserves.
With eight Bundesliga titles and a Champions League title, Schweinsteiger left Bundesliga side Bayern Munich for United last season and made 31 appearances under Louis van Gaal during the 2015-16 season.
However, he revealed that if the Reds Devils do sell him, he will not make a move to another European club.
‘MUFC will be my last club in Europe,’ Schweinsteiger tweeted.
‘I respect other clubs. But Manchester United was the only one which could make me leave Bayern Munich.
‘I will be ready if the team needs me. This is all I can say about my current situation. I want to thanks the fans for the amazing support over the last few weeks.’
Over the course of his career, Schweinsteiger has netted 71 goals and assisted a further 71 from 567 appearances in all competitions playing for the likes of Bayern Munich and Manchester United.
