Mpumalanga Black Aces and top marksmen Collins Mbesuma will part ways when the Zambian forward’s contract ends.
Speaking to SASoccermag.co.za on Tuesday, Comitis confirmed that the club will be honouring the contracts of players still on the books before clarifying the situation regarding Mbesuma.
Comitis revealed that Mbesuma, the Absa Premiership top goalscorer this season, will become a free agent when his contract expires at the end of the month.
Mbesuma, who topped the PSL scoring charts with 14 goals, will be free to join a club of his choice while goalkeeper Nhlapo, who did not make any appearances for AmaZayoni this season, was not on the list of players to be retained.
‘We have only retained the two goalkeepers, Walters and Mabokgwane,’ Comitis told KickOff.
Comitis confirmed that Aces are still in talks with Zamokuhle Ngalo over a new contract.
‘We are still talking to Ngalo,’ he added.
At the end of the 2015-16 season, Mpumalanga Black Aces secured a fourth-place finish on the Premiership table guaranteeing them a spot in next seasons’s MTN8.
