Cape Town City has shown interest in capturing the services of defender Tshepo Gumede from Orlando Pirates.
The 25-year-old, who arrived from Platinum Stars last season is currently seeking more regular playing time after failing to compete for a regular place the Mayfair.
Should Gumede leave Pirates and join City, he will once again link up with former coach Eric Tinkler.
According to KickOff.com a source close to City, the club has already made an official offer to the Soweto giants for the services of the defender.
‘Both clubs are talking,’ the source said.
‘Gumede could be arriving down in Cape Town on Wednesday to finalise the deal with City.’
Last season the defender could only manage to appear six times for the Buccaneers in all competitions.
